Wear earns top Human Resource Advisor for Ohio Published April 12, 2012 By Senior Master Sgt. Joseph R. Stahl 178th Fighter Wing SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Senior Master Sgt. Brian Wear, 178th Fighter Wing human resources advisor, was selected as the 2011 Human Resource Advisor of the year for the Ohio Air National Guard at an awards presentation March 17. This award is presented to the ANG Human Resource Advisor in Ohio, who excels in advocating and making substantial positive changes for their assigned units in the areas of force development, force management, and diversity. The award was presented by Maj. Gen. Deborah Ashenhurst, Ohio adjutant general, Brig. Gen. Mark Bartman, assistant adjutant general for air, and Chief Master Sgt. Tamara Phillips, state command chief for air, during the annual awards banquet at the Hilton Easton, Columbus Ohio. "It was a great honor for me to bring this home for the 178th. Even though it was an individual award, without the efforts of the First Sergeants, Airmen NCO Council, Chiefs Council, and the support and guidance of wing leadership, this would not have happened," said Wear, "I'd also like to specifically give a special thank you to Senior Master Sgt. Curt Rodgers for laying the foundation that allowed me to hit the ground running and to Chief LeMaster for his insight and mentoring." Wear's package will now move on to the regional and national level where he will compete against other HRA's in the Air National Guard.
